Finding a way forward

Trauma counselling for overwhelm, stress, and nervous system support

People come to this work for many different reasons; sometimes there’s a clear sense of what’s not working, and other times it’s just a feeling of being overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected.

However it is for you, we begin gently, and at a pace that feels manageable.

I offer trauma-informed counselling on the Gold Coast and online across Australia.

How we can work together

Sessions are available in a way that feels most accessible and supportive for you.

In-person (Gold Coast)

In-person sessions are available on the Gold Coast, offering a grounded, shared space to slow things down and connect more fully with what’s present.

Online (Australia-wide)

Online sessions are available across Australia. Many people find this offers flexibility, comfort, and the ability to engage in the work from a familiar environment.

Session focus

Sessions are collaborative and guided by what feels most important for you. This might include making sense of your experiences, noticing patterns, supporting your nervous system, and gently exploring the parts of you that have had to adapt in order to cope.

Areas of support

I support people navigating a range of experiences, including:

  • Complex trauma and CPTSD

  • Nervous system overwhelm, anxiety, or shutdown

  • The impacts of childhood or early experiences

  • Domestic and Family violence

  • Relational and attachment challenges

  • Parenting while carrying your own history

  • Feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward

You don’t need to fit into a category or have a specific label. If something here resonates, we can begin there.

This is not about pushing or fixing, but about supporting your system to move at a pace that allows for real integration and change.

Access & funding options

I understand that accessing support can feel financially challenging at times. Where possible, I aim to support access through a range of pathways.

Depending on your circumstances, sessions may be available through:

  • Private health insurance (if applicable)

  • Victim Assist (QLD)

  • Victim Services (NSW)

  • National Redress Scheme counselling

  • Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)

If you’re unsure what you’re eligible for, you’re welcome to reach out and we can explore options together.

Walk and Talk Therapy

Walk and Talk Therapy offers a different way of working together.

Being outdoors, side by side rather than face to face, can create a sense of ease and openness that supports reflection and processing. For some, this can feel less intense, and more natural.

This isn’t about exercise. You are welcome to move at your own pace, and we’ll follow what feels comfortable for you.

  • Suitable for all fitness levels

  • You set the pace, I walk alongside you

  • First session is held indoors

  • Ongoing sessions can be outdoors (weather permitting)

I understand that accessing support is a meaningful commitment, and I aim to keep a small number of reduced-fee places available.

You’re welcome to book a 15 minute connection call if you’d like a chance to check in and see if this feels like the right fit.

If this feels like the kind of support you have been looking for, you are welcome to take the next step.
