Getting to know me
I come to this work with a deep respect for how people adapt, survive, and make sense of their experiences over time.
With over 19 years of experience supporting people through trauma and complex life experiences, I bring a depth of understanding to this work that is grounded in both training and lived human connection.
I work in a way that is collaborative and attuned to you; moving at a pace that feels manageable, and staying connected to what feels important or present in the moment.
My work is informed by approaches such as Compassionate Inquiry, somatic experiencing and nervous system-based work, and parts-based approaches (Internal Family Systems); always guided by what feels supportive and relevant for you.
This work is grounded in attunement, compassion, and the relational space we create together.
Over the years, I’ve supported people navigating trauma, overwhelm, and the longer-term impacts of difficult experiences — including complex trauma, family and domestic violence, and the challenges that can come with parenting and relationships.
Alongside my private practice, I also work as a trauma counsellor with the Blue Knot Foundation Helpline, supporting individuals navigating complex trauma and its impacts.
My private practice is separate from my role with the Blue Knot Foundation.
I am a Clinical Member of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia), and engage in ongoing professional development and supervision to support ethical and responsive practice.
Alongside my work, I’m also a mum, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. Outside of the therapy space, I’m often at the beach, paddle boarding, cooking or baking, or out on a sunset walk with my dog, Mellow.
These parts of my life matter to me, and I bring that sense of being human into the work we do together.
You don’t need to have the right words, or a clear starting point. We can begin wherever you are.
